Structured credit is a significant portion of the US fixed income market, which has traditionally been held in institutional portfolios such as large banks, insurance companies, and hedge funds. Since the financial crisis, additional asset allocation models for RIAs and retail brokerage firms are utilizing structured credit as a permanent strategic allocation. More recently, the reemergence of the mortgage credit market is finally starting to show life after a 10 year drought. Angel Oak Capital is a pre-eminent manager within structured and mortgage credit and Clayton Triick will be discussing the evolution of these markets and how the new world of structured and mortgage credit may look over the next 15-20 years.
