Mark Albert, CFA
Senior Director
Teacher Retirement System of Texas

Mark Albert, CFA is a Senior Director for the Teacher Retirement System of Texas where he is the head of the Quantitative Equity Strategies (QES) group within the Multi-Asset Strategies group.  QES internally manages numerous quantitative portfolios.

Mark is also part of the Portfolio Construction Team for Active Public Markets.  This team allocates capital to internal and external managers in order to achieve the desired Global Equity performance and risk for the Trust.

Previously at TRS, he was the Portfolio Manager for Small Cap Domestic Equities. Prior to joining TRS, Mark worked as an equity analyst and M&T Capital Advisors in Buffalo, NY.

Mark earned a BA in economics, Magna Cum Laude, from Brandeis University and a MBA with Honors – High Distinction from the University of Michigan

Ryann Marotta, CFA
Austin Asset Management

Ryann Marotta is a Portfolio Manager at Austin Asset Management, a boutique wealth management firm committed to authentic advice. In her role, Ryann develops relationships with clients to understand their unique situations and structures investment plans to support their needs.  Prior to Austin Asset, Ryann served as a Senior Vice President for Vested Finance, overseeing the finance and operations for an emerging education technology platform. She also previously worked at Northern Trust, supporting the investment needs for both institutional and private wealth management clients.

Ryann graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Arts in International Business. She is a CFA Charterholder and volunteers for the CFA Society of Austin, currently serving as President of the Board. Ryann is also a CFP Certificant and a member of Austin’s Financial Planning Association and the Junior League of Austin.
